Am back. It’s been a week actually, but still hungover… the beautiful trip. It was a dream come true, visiting Kerala – a paradise in its own way. The backwaters, mangrove, beautiful beaches (a couple of them that I visited there) have left me mesmerized.
Of all the scenic spots, I think I prefer beaches…especially the shores, the sand, when the bare feet softly feels it. Staring at the horizon endlessly, the sun-set, the sun-rise, the fine imagery of pastel color it paints and contrasts with the blue water body. It’s marvelous – It’s all so picturesque, that even words fail to express its beauty. So, very classic. However, there’s one thing that scares me and i.e. the devouring waves. I don’t know how to swim, perhaps that’s why. I always feel I would get drowned or get submerged under the weight of water. So I do not attempt to go deeper and always retreat my steps when I sense the upsurge. Coincidentally, I got to shoot a beautiful stork and if you see the pictures in order, you will observe the patterns…how it carefully treads and retreats its steps… just like me, the picture says it all…!

At a distance. Thinking if it should go ahead or not…
The Stork Along the Beach
It decides, to take a chance…and treads carefully…tiptoeing…!
The Stork Along the Beach
Slowly it moves forward…with a strange sense of fear and courage at the same time…

Finally, it allows the waves to touch its delicate feet…overlooking the deep blue sea. It enjoys. Mighty pleased.
The Stork Along the Beach
Enjoys a little more, putting its one foot forward…with a sense of pride!

And then… it retreats.. unsure if it could delve for long…what if the waves turned wild. The fear engulfed!

And it gently retreats its steps. Face off, but content.
