I ask myself,
I look up there and smile,
I aim high!
The Sun, The Moon,
and those stars that twinkle at night !!! 🙂
I adore Hibiscus flowers, so when I moved to Blr, I wanted to have one for this home too. Besides hibiscus, I also got some sweet smelling jasmine flowers and other plants; which do not need frequent watering or heavy maintenance due to my constant on the move situations. It’s heartbreaking to see them wither away otherwise.
Last weekend, I woke up to a beautiful morning, unusual it was, not a bright and sunny one(yeah Summer months, don’t we all dread the Sun). The sky was covered with smoky clouds and there was moist and chill in the air. Typically, when I wake up, the first thing I do is open up all the windows and the balcony doors to let all the fresh air in. And, that morning the nature, from my little terrace garden, greeted me in a special way – I saw the bright color Hibiscus bloom with all its gaiety and charm.
It inspired me to smile, stay fresh and spread the joy 🙂
I love my room, and I make sure to keep it very neat and organized with just the basics and utility stuff around. I also love wooden cupboards, corner tables with little knick-knacks that make the room slightly livelier. Recently, I bought home a tiny wooden cupboard to store books, scarves, etc. and the bare top left me a little disheartened. So here’s what I did 🙂
A wall piece just above the cupboard gifted to me by a very dear friend. Primarily for key rings, but I am using it right now for a few colorful bangles. I have also stuck a pretty greeting that I received from another dear friend 🙂
This one is a favorite of mine – a little planter I bought from a favorite store in Bangalore, I frequent often. The Orange Bicycle. They have an external unit that sells planters with potted plants. This is a succulent indoor plant. You get plenty of such unique stuff hand crafted.
A small candle on a wooden piece of dice, I had picked from Pondicherry.
Of course a few books by bed-side for my night time reading 🙂
Another bird shaped planter with a succulent plant, again for indoors to be watered just twice in a week.
A cute little bird with a twig in its mouth. Made of terracotta.
And here’s the final look by my bedside 🙂 Like it?
Here’s wishing you all a great fun-filled week ahead! 🙂
I just want to seize these moments,
these little moments of happiness and joy.
For, I realize its worth – they are priceless.
These are the moments to look back later,
to cherish them and savor the good ol’ times.
When we are down in dumps or when it’s not the best of the days,
And, that’s how special my friends are. God, thanks for carefully choosing them for me. I am truly humbled. Life becomes easier to have special people around.
Have a great weekend!
