Newspapers, News Channels, TV shows, Banners, Ads, Magazines, Restaurants, Hotels, Shopping Malls, Cake Shops, Gift Shops…almost everyone is busy, selling V-Day. What’s new? They do it every year. I won’t be surprised if the local kirana stores, selling grocery & other sundries follow the same very soon…
“Buy tuar daal and delight your sweetheart!
“Make a special basmati and melt your lover’s heart”
You know, something like that! For sure, their motto is not to spread love, but sell. They hardly care, if the couples make it or break it. All they want is to whip up quick moolah by cashing in on this so called lover’s day. Arghhh! The overhype they create; I tell ya…It’s painstakingly irksome.
“Love is a pure bliss. A joy, that’s inexplicable. An expression, that’s unfathomable! I would not wait for a special day, to express my love. If I have to, I shall express any day, I shall whisper anyway!” – me
So, for those who celebrate…especially boyyyyzzz – try playing this beautiful song for your sweetheart, o’er a quiet candlelight dinner at home.
Gordon’s rendition is remarkable,, using just a guitar. My suggestion: Don’t just wait for a V-Day. Play it anyway. While girls, please get over diamonds, and roses, and teddies. Instead, care for some precious moments together, to be able to cherish forever. And all those who would love to celebrate for someone you hate…read this and am sure you can’t help, but smile.
My love goes out to all those, who I care and value in my life – Happy Valentine’s Day to all my LOVE-ly people!
