Beautiful brown and velvety body with sparkling black eyes. It appeared delicate, yet strong with the flock around; as it hopped in the woods with amazing swiftness, carefree yet wild. Behind the tree trunks I would peek and adore, always wanting to caress it gently with my hands. Once, I tiptoed and tried to touch, but it ran away as fast as it could, out of my reach, far off somewhere in the woods.

An evening during summer holidays; near a river bank I was playing. Wearily, I plunged into the river to clean myself of the sweat and grime. I found the carcasses of a deer much to my surprise. A deer that I wanted to touch and caress once.
