Festive Season… Hmmm we can smell festivity around…it’s in the air…with the onset of next season…with Eid and “Durga Pujo” round the corner…Its time for shopping, fun n frolic and family get togetherz. In this stressful life, thanks to these occasions which gives us a break from the routine and allows us to plunge into joyous moments. As a kid I always used to look forward to these festivals and till date relish and enjoy them… Eid -the month long fasts and prayers…giving alms to poor, iftars and sehers come to an end with an exorbitant celebration. New clothes for all the family members, sewiyan…feasts etc. The day starts with Eid ki namaz at nearby mosques…and the whole day long festivity continues cheerfully.

On the other hand…during pujo…which is a week long festival celebrated with so much vibrance, events, and devotion is also pretty exhilarating. I used to join my friends or neighbors group and visit the pujo pandals…, those creations of Maa Durga in various themes is absolutely spectacular. The long awaited bhog, snacks and other delicacies are too tempting…and inevitable..!

Well, festivals arrive and depart each year…but they leave back the happy moments shared together with friends, and families…for life long treasure!!
