I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,

A host, of golden daffodils,
Beside the lake, beneath the trees
Fluttering and dancing
in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretched in never-ending line

Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee: –
A poet could not but be gay

In such a jocund company:
I gazed -and gazed -but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought.

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,

They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills
And dances with the daffodils.

The above lines have been penned by one of my all-time favourite authorz “William Wordsworth” – a major english poet born in the year 1770, April 7. That’s the idea of a perfect peace of mind amidst nature’s exquisiteness!!

I dream of travelling to far off places, some countryside …place thats captured so well in Wordsworth’s poems ..much away from the world’s materialistic life; gazing at the ever-so breathtaking beauty of streams flowing through the valley, chirping birds, enjoying the cool breeze, and forget all pains and wretchedness of life and get absorbed at that hour…!

Not only that.. I wish to travel all such places in India which are unexplored, untouched and where nature’s beauty is at it’s peak!

I love the stunning work of the tombs, forts and wonderful monuments, which most of them are frayed and unattended and they would wither away some day due to lack of protective measures…the silence at these places speak volumes about the art & culture of country’s vibrant history.

I sometimes wonder why people are so fascinated to travel abroad to spend a vacation, when there’s so much affluence in our own country…Destinations like Kulu, Manali, Simla, Mussoorie, Nainital in the North. Back-waters in Kerela, Munnar, Ooty, south-west of karnataka down south. Goa, rajasthan, amritsar in the west are so picturesque!!

Hope to start my journey someday..and capture the moments of such lifetime experience that one can quickly develop an abiding passion for it.
